WERNER JOSEF KLOPPENBORG After a courageous hard fought battle with cancer, it is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear husband, Dad and Opa on August 31, 2009. Werner will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Barbara, daughter Chris (Dave), son Andy (Shannon), grandchildren Katie, Emilie, Greg and Ty. Also missing him are his sister Hedwig (Hubert), brother Horst (Gertrud), sister-in-law Magda, life long friend Wolf and family. His loss will also be deeply felt by many cousins, nieces and nephews in both Germany and Canada. Werner was born in Greven, Germany on December 16, 1932 and immigrated to Canada in September 1956. For the last 20 years, he resided in the Lac du Bonnet region. Our most sincere and heartfelt thanks to the Pinawa Cancer Care Unit for their kindness and support and to the North Eastman Health Association, who made it possible for Werner to spend his final days at home with his family. According to his wishes cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. There will be a family gathering at a later date. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations in his memory may be made to the Winnipeg Pet Rescue Shelter.
